Tina started in September 2005 and quickly became the go-to person for all cat related questions. Before working at Animal Crackers, she was a veterinary technician in Corvallis for 8 years, did raptor rehabilitation, worked at a boarding kennel, and helped out on a goat dairy farm. Her unwavering passion for animals makes her the perfect person to handle all of the cat adoptions for the store. She currently shares her home with a sweet Basset Hound named Buttercup, a tiny Chihuahua mix named Macy, a red-lored parrot named Billy Bob Amazon, and 14 sweet kitties (Apollo James, Mizuna, Eddie, Monty, Simon, Louie, Katie, Sabbie, Tulip O’Shea, Violet, Lilly McFadden, Tika, Chloe Louise, and Sable)! When she isn’t working, she can be found in a greenhouse surrounded by succulents.
Shannon began her career at Animal Crackers in April 2008. She has worked with animals her whole life, whether it was training cattle dogs, helping her grandpa deliver colts, and even saving pregnant stray cats who “followed her home” from school. Shannon can proudly say that all of her babies are rescues, both human and furry! She shares her home with her dogs (Miss Bailey Mae and Ferg), 4 cats (Barley, Sashimi, Ginger, and Bumble Bee), and 2 kids (RJ and Sean). If she didn’t work at Animal Crackers, she would most definitely be a MythBuster!
Dana joined the team in March 2013 and has been making the store beautiful ever since! She graduated from OSU with a wildlife science degree and absolutely loves to be outdoors! She takes every opportunity to go hiking, camping, or beach combing, and she is a very skilled beader! Her fur-family includes a pup named Buddah, 2 cats (Gypsy and Mithril), and 2 hens (Ebony & Frieda).
Christine began working at Animal Crackers Pet Supply in August 2015. She has worked in the animal care industry since 2008 and has held jobs at boarding facilities, vet clinics, and a shelter. She moved to Oregon from California’s bay area in 2013 in hopes of opening a rescue for misunderstood breeds. In her free time, she is slowly building a dehydrated pet treat business and she hopes to sell the goodies locally. She currently shares her home with a sable German Shepherd, named Rufio.
Nicole started working at Animal Crackers in November 2016. Her love for animals started during her childhood. She grew up with cats, hamsters, dogs, fish, lizards, goats, geese, and more! Nicole currently has 3 amazing dogs; 2 American Pit Bull Terriers (Bugsy and Strider) and 1 beautiful mutt (Kuna). Her favorite part of having her sweet boys, is how they have changed the way her neighbors, friends, and family viewed bully breeds. Nicole is a huge advocate for American Pit Bull Terriers and it shows in the way she raises loving, well socialized dogs.
Krystal joined the crew in May 2017 after working as a veterinary assistant for 3 years. She is currently working on her animal science degree and will be going to vet school soon! Her goal is to be a physical therapist for furry companions. She has 3 awesome dogs (Widget, Pepper, and Dakota), 3 cats (Baby Boots, Bumper, and Dipper), 2 axolotls (Smaug and Falcor) and a bunch of fish! When she isn’t at work or school, she is always playing outside with her dogs.
Miriam joined the Animal Crackers team in September of 2017. She recently completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science in Spring of 2017 at Oregon State University and as of Fall 2017, she passed her Certified Professional Dog Training-Knowledge Assessment test! She also has worked at a local humane society in the Enrichment & Training Department for two years and is our current dog (and cat!) trainer here at Animal Crackers. She has background in training cats and dogs and riding horses in the Hunter-Jumper discipline. Miriam has a wealth of knowledge in behavior and training and is eager to start sharing her experience with her clients and customers. Besides dogs and cats, Miriam also has a love for small pocket pets and has owned 5 rats and a beloved hamster. Her household currently includes five cats (Milo, Peach, Biskits, Eli, and Baghera), and five dogs; Westley, a Great Dane, Cassiopeia, a Bull Terrier mix, Whisper, a Miniature American Shepherd, and Sadie & Josie, Chihuahua mixes.
Josh joined the Animal Crackers team in May 2018. He has been in the Animal Care Industry since July 2014, where he began working at Safehaven Humane Society. Josh found one of his passions in Animal Care and eventually became the Animal/Medical care supervisor at a shelter. One of his strengths has always been paying attention to behavior and health. He enjoyed working with the misunderstood and behaviorally challenging dogs and cats. Josh continued his passion for caring for animals by working at a local Veterinary clinic, before coming to join our team. Besides his ability to put even the shyest of dogs and cats at ease, Josh enjoys learning about AKC dog breeds and is one of the staff's most knowledgeable on uncommon breeds.
